Florida Olive Council, LAA Privacy Notice

This notice provides the Florida Olive Council, LAA privacy policy regarding the nature, purpose, use, and sharing of any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) collected via this website. The Florida Olive Council, LAA uses social media websites and other kinds of third-party websites. We use social media websites to interact with many constituencies and engage in public research worldwide. Social media websites are used to publicize events, and engage with our members and the public in the United States and foreign countries. We also use the web measurement and customization technologies to measure the number of visitors to our websites and their various sections and to help make our websites more useful to visitors. We do not use third-party websites to solicit and collect PII from individuals except in the case of periodic customer satisfaction surveys. Any PII passively collected (i.e., not solicited) by the third-party website will not be transmitted or stored by the Florida Olive Council, LAA unless required by statute.

Interaction With Children Online

We are committed to the protection of children’s online privacy. The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) governs information gathered online from or about children under the age of 13. Verifiable consent from a child’s parent or guardian is required before collecting, using, or disclosing personal information from a child under age 13. If a Florida Olive Council, LAA website intends to collect information about children under 13 years old, COPPA-required information and instructions will be provided by the specific web page that collects information about the child. If you are a student, teacher or school administrator and you have received a valid user name and password to access the Secure Sites, you may access, download and/or print copies of any content on the Secure Sites to which you have been granted access solely for your own educational or instructional purposes, provided that no copies of the content shall be made for the benefit of and distributed to students who have not received access to the Secure Sites.

You may not modify de-compile, disassemble, decrypt, extract or otherwise reverse engineer any of our content, or create derivative works based upon all or part of the content.

Code of Conduct

Governing Law – These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without reference to any conflicts of law principles that would result in the application of the laws of another jurisdiction. You agree that any legal action or proceeding concerning your use of the Sites shall be brought exclusively in a state or federal court located in Gainesville, FL and you submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction of such courts.

Assignment – The Florida Olive Council, LAA may assign our rights and delegate our duties under these Terms to any party at any time without notice to you or any third party.

No Implied Waiver – Our failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these Terms shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right.

Severability – The provisions of these Terms are severable. In the event that any court of competent jurisdiction determines that any provision is invalid or unenforceable, such validity and unenforceability shall not in any way affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
