A new irrigation system was installed, constructed from PVC piping with evenly spacing circular openings along the pipes to water trees 30 minutes per day fueled by a well through this system at the grower’s discretion, with little-no use during the rainy season. Pruning was applied more heavily on the sides of the trees on the inside of the row as he also manages them for aesthetics. The trees are lined up out of the backdoor to his home as a sort of natural walkway. New growth around the base of the trees are also pruned. The grower reports that despite last winter having a longer freeze than usual, the trees have done well. Inquired about facility to take his olives to have oil produced for him/methods of curing for consumption.
