The Florida Olive Council supports home and hobby olive growers. These small local growers have a unique perspective on olive growing in Florida and can provide good feedback on various cultivation techniques and varieties. Garcia has also spoken to the Master Gardeners at the Cocoa Beach Garden Club, the Parkland Estates Garden Club, UF-IFAS field days for Small Farms at Live Oak and Ft. Pierce and many other venues.
